Before we get started, I would ask that you do not message Calanor privately - his time today is very precious and we want to make sure he is answering as many questions as possible!

How many GMs are there?

Tons, we prefer to call them by there model number RJ5400 but at times they have names like Matt or Sue

We keep the numbers and names of our staff sort of hidden as we do not want the personal lives being affected by the job

We are however looking for some new fresh faces for our staff Had to throw the plug in for Leo!

Is there going to be an upgrade/change in the forum software ? If yes in what timeframe do you think?

TehCalanor
Of course King would have to hit up on the forums, I am just as tired of the green forums as most of you long time trolls are!

We are planning to have a new look to the forums in the next couple of months, and if things go well a working search function.

There maybe some changes to the forums, adding new sections and seeing what new life we can breath into the forums over the next month or two

I can't say what % they drop at but they are was I would say would be rare or a unique drop. Many of the new drops we will start seeing more of as time progresses and we all realize which areas

and which monsters drop the new mats and items

Will we see the castle gear coming fast now? Whats the next priority now rose has, its drops?

Castle Gear! Something I think a number are looking forward to. This is based on a desired plan for 2007 from the developers and something not really set too solid in stone, but mid to late this year for a complete castle gear system

I know we have just added some part of the system with this update and hopefully we can see more of this come as the updates come.

Do you have any idea of when other gems like Peridot, Diamond or even Opal will be craftable ?

TehCalanor
Some of these we will see in the item mall, as they are not part of the crafting system but developed with the item mall in mind. Our current item mall schedule does not include them as they maybe special promotional event items or short term event items

When will factions be implemented ?

The factions is on the same time table as the Castle Gear right now, I plan to see more about factions before Summer so we can give you all some clear information

The faction system went through some redesigning and its one of the big goals for 2007

Will we ever get apprasial back! So many people want it back

I do not think so, its not part of a planned update that we have coming.

Any plans to do a new planet?

TehCalanor
Yes, this year in fact. Going to be late 2007 so 3rd-4th quarter. Something we should all see more information posted after the faction system is here.

I do not have much information about what to expect with the planet, but when we get some more information about it I will post it as I am sure a new place to grind at would be nice!

when will we start to see castle gear,   when will we see a monster event

I am going to hit the last part of this double question here first.

The last 2 monster events we did went well but had a number of quirks that we wanted to see fixed before doing them more often, doing these too often does have a large effect on the economy

and this is something we want to try at best to avoid causing damage to.

The Castle Gear question was sort of answered before, we should start seeing bits of the system added as time goes by and late summer or around that period seeing more about the system in words atleast.

Are they aware of the wand bug, and any plans to fix it?

Bug you say!

Leo is the man with the bugs, he would be better fit to answer this one then me. With out giving me some more details I would have to pass and say that no I am not aware of it and report it! If it helps me level then send me a PM on the forums first

Could u possibly tell us something about the 4th world?

Other then being the 4th planet and coming after the 3rd planet there is so little that has been given about it. Its due towards the end of this year and we should here more about what look to expect or what new monsters and items to expect by the middle of the year.

With a Factions and Castle Gear coming this year as well I would imagine that the update will have more to do with these features as well, but don't call me on this in 6 months!

What color are calanors eyes and if he had the choice between shooting lasers from his eyes or having x-ray vision which would he choose?

This sounds to me like Fluskin has some serious feelings for me and this should be directed towards Leonis.

Fluskin you dirty boy you, well my eyes are white with color in the middle. The color can change with my mood and the shirt I am wearing, I know that doesnt help but its what you get!

I would have to go with the Lasers from the eyes, there are so many occasions where I just want to be on the otherside of the object and to be able to just blast a hole and walk through..well short cuts are always useful!

Just as long as I don't have to wear tights to use the eyes with lasers thing I am good to go.

Is knight gonna get AOE back again?

No, for right now there is no plans for it that we are aware of here. There are some new skills coming with the item mall that are passive buffs but nothing like an AoE for knights

Are you a GM? Are you in love in Leo? Do Rose's GMs also double up as Ragnarok GMs?

3 part question, with the middle having so many meanings.

No I am not a GM, just a lowly Community Manager. I don't have any super powers in-game and I don't double as a taxi driver on weekends either.

I have a fond affection for Leo, he works his back side off and we have spent me a night working long hours together doing what we can to keep the peace and ordering some pizza.

The 3rd question is just a simple no. Both teams are kept away from each other, we keep them all caged up and working like monkeys for you all.

when will AOEs be up? and why can we not fly from junon to eldeon, but we can fly from eldeon to junon?

The individual in control of the Fly planning has deemed the route unsafe, he feels that the return flight with the head winds is too much for his air ship of hot air and rubber and to our understanding uses magic to return to Juno to pick up the next group of passengers

Its rather odd, but he is a rather odd man to start with.

Will Item Apraisel be put back in the game?

Hey didn't we do this question before, I think someone is trying to trick me into another answer! No plans to readd at this time, I will make sure to ask the Dev team what plans if any for this and get an anwer to the many forum posts on this topic.

Will Third Job Advanced Skills be put in Rose for future updates.

I know right now its not on the Dev's plate of things to be worked on. Not saying it wont be seen in the future, but not in the next 12 months atleast.

you think speak with dev about spawntime of this game ?

I am going to answer this in two parts because there are two aspects currently to the spawn.

TehCalanor
First is the natural spawn of the bosses and those timed spawned monsters that are so dearly camped. Its a hard battle to win on how do we really change how they spawn, its been suggested to make the spawn area larger so that its more of a random 10 or 15 minute spawn. Its something we are aware of and watch and really look for a good suggestion to how to resolve this.

The 2nd is the current issue people are reporting about the spawn rate after this last update. I know the GM's had a talk about this earlier and are looking at it. I don't know whats been confirmed yet or not but its beeing looked at currently.

any plans for a 3rd job yet i know in the past but the developers said they might be in the future

Yea, I remember hearing about 3rd jobs when the first iROSE beta was up and going. This was the first and only time I remember hearing anything about it. I would hope there is something in the future like I said to advance the classes but right now there is nothing that we are aware of planned for 3rd jobs.

Seeing that CF has reduced in EXP, and some options has chanced in the clan window, in what timeframe Clanpoints are going to drop

About a year ago we had the topic of Clan points as they were at that time "suppose" to be part of the update we had. When we questioned why they were not part of the clan fields the reason was that it was an incomplete system at that time and the clan points would more then likey have to be removed once the system was in place.

The reason for this was balancing. Keeping the CF points out until they were really used would allow for the devs to plan and balance the drops. Now as far as the CF EXP issue I think the CF is still a really strong source of EXP for that level range.

I would say that the EXP in CF is above average and being that it was reduced a bit this is only to avoid people getting 50-100 in a single afternoon. The level progression should not be so quick, otherwise we would all be bored week 2 of playing.

Can you tell us more about what is going to come up for the clan system ? I am talking about the recently added Clan Merchant, etc.

The clan merchant addition was a suprise to us when we saw it honestly. We know that more clan functionality and factions are what direct future we have for ROSE but didn't expect a sneak into whats to come. Specific details about the clan system update and factions hasnt been given so no word on that as of yet.

Will there be more active advertisment for rose online

I pray, I pray and I pray again that this year we will see more of ROSE on MMO sites and we are working on some advertising for ROSE. Nothing I can mention because I just know its being worked on right now and when the final say comes down I will direct you all to see whats going on.

I just hope we don't all run out of friends to invite and play ROSE!

Is there anything in the future that can be done with the Zully Sellers in the game (yanno the sites where u pay real money for Zully and the delvling bots at king spawns)

Sadly there is no 1 sure fire way to get rid of them, but there are ways to make it a struggle to survive. Part of the problem is that there is a demand for them to be here, because people want an advantage or want to catch up for the last year they missed playing. What can be done is report them when you suspect that they are farming or selling. Farming really has no direct violation of any of the rules, but its a twist that if the farming becomes selling then the mighty judgement of the GM's is placed.

Do CM´s have any special treatment in game ?

Other then being sworn at for moving someones post, or being called rather funny names for helping out on the forums, no they get nothing special other then the love and hate of the community and a bold forum title

Will there be a Castle Gear skill to learn ? And about the crafting skill, we need like 100 schematics for each part, will it be reduced to 1 schematic per part ?

The requirements for the crafting skills are set. So needing 100 of the schematics is going to be the requirement. They are going to be hard to find, but the Castle Gear is designed to be a rare part of the game and not something that is easily obtainable.

There is a skill that you need to learn before able to function the Castle Gear, and this will come with the complete system implementation.
